GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
FAVORITE THINGS
As each guest arrives, have her fill out a sheet labeled “Favorite Things.” Prior to the party, type and photo copy a list with questions: “What is your favorite [color, animal, song, number, etc.,]?” When each child is done, have her fold and drop her list in a bucket. After the kids have settled in, gather the children and read each list. Get them to guess who it is. The child that guesses the most correctly gets a candy necklace and bracelet set!
KID GLAM
Before they arrive, set up a table and a `comfortable chair for facials, make up and hairdos. For the facial, supply a mild facial wash, sliced cucumbers, washcloths and a vat of warm water to get the pampering into full swing. Drape the first makeover candidate in a towel and pin it behind her neck with a clothespin. Have her lean back in the chair while you swath her face in a mild facial wash. Put cucumbers over her eyes as she sits back for a minute, then rinse off the face wash and gently lavish moisturizer on her face. Remember to remark on all of her most beautiful features! Next work your make up magic with different colors of face glitter, lip-gloss, stick-on gems and all kinds of clean application brushes and cotton swabs. Lightly dust on make up, explaining what this or that is for. Finally, have ribbons, bows, glitter hairspray and a curling iron set up on the table for hairdos! Braid, curl or pin back each child’s hair (again remember to remark on a positive quality of each girl’s locks!) and spray on a few sparkles for the full effect!
MOM FASHION MAKEOVERS
This activity is great fun for both the girls AND their moms. Try to round up about three or four mom volunteers and assign a makeover team a prepared bag of makeover tricks. In each bag have equal amounts of second hand or borrowed scarves, jewelry, a hat and a couple of dresses. Also add the mom’s lipstick, brush and a pair of her pumps (get her to bring them in advance). Now send the teams off to separate quarters and time them for ten minutes. When they’re ready, get the mom’s to model with their teams, crown each mom with a Princess Tiara, and of course, take gobs of pictures!
FASHION DESIGNING
This is a great little creative fashion activity that all Bratz fans will adore. Simply pick up some stick on gems, sequins, beads and sparkles at the craft store and some purses and sunglasses at the dollar store. Provide the children with glue so they can personalize their accessories and bring them home after the party!
FUNKY FOOD
Get some plastic wine glasses at the dollar store and chill them before hand. At mealtime, serve white cranberry juice with a cherry and orange slice on a toothpick in the chilled glasses. Serve mini pizzas (tres chic) with french fries on Bratz Plates. For desert, bake two rectangular cakes, cut them in the shape of a bottom and top lip and merge them with pink frosting. Decorate the top with cherries or sliced red strawberries.
STYLIN’ LOOT
In little pink bags, try giving the ultimate Bratz party loot with these items: a bag of red lip wax candy, Bratz Comb And Mirror, make up glitter, Bratz Stickers, candy jewelry, Ladybug Lip Gloss and a Ladybug Necklace. Let each child pack her loot bag in her new homemade purse! If you don't have time to pack loot bags by yourself, you can buy Bratz Favor Pack. It's reasonably priced and girls will love what's inside.
